Our Free coaching programme also introduces you to the rules and etiquette of the game, making your learning experience more enjoyable and effective.
Your coach will also check what size and weight of wood is best for you to start playing. We have a range of bowls available free of charge for beginners and members of the public using our 2 dedicated rinks
The club makes available a wide range of lawn bowls for members of the public to use, catering to all skill levels and preferences. From beginner-friendly sets to more advanced bowls, there’s something for everyone. The equipment is well-maintained, ensuring optimal performance and a great playing experience. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your game, the club’s diverse selection of bowls provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy and excel in the sport.
We only allow bowlers on the green who wear flat soled shoes and smart casual cloths, so please remember to bring yours along for your coaching experience. All other equipment will be made available for you.

Booking Lyn’s time to coach you is the best way of being introduced to the sport without having to invest in equipment in the early days.
Lyn and other club members will also advise on what equipment will be needed when you become a member. Once you have had a couple of lesson you will be keen to continue in the club environment.
